Since 1971, Vivienne Westwood has been a pioneer of the fashion industry, becoming Britain’s first fashion Dame in 2006. Westwood is not only considered a symbol of British avant-garde she is also one of the most influential and recognised designers in the world today.

Vivienne Westwood has four standalone stores in London; No. 6 Davies Street is the only boutique that offers a bespoke made to measure bridal service within the UK. The store has provided this couture service since 1990, as well as offering the latest ready-to-wear Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood collection, alongside select jewellery and statement accessories.

The Vivienne Westwood Couture and Made-to-order collections present a selection of sumptuous bridal gowns and cocktail dresses – inspired by 18th-century Salon culture; a melting pot of arts, literature, politics and the sharing of intellect between high-society women.

The creation of each couture gown at Vivienne Westwood is a truly bespoke service, with every made-to-measure piece personally designed for each bride and created with dedicated time and attention to detail from the Vivienne Westwood couturiers. Once the bride has selected the silhouette, personalised design sketches are drawn-up and a toile is then constructed and tailored to the bride's body. A selection of luxury fabrics, custom embroidery, beading, applique and bespoke finishings are explored and the final gown is then handcrafted in Westwood’s London atelier.

The Made-to-order collection presents a selection of eleven iconic Vivienne Westwood styles, available in satin, sequins and silk jacquard, as well as Peace Silk which allows the silk butterfly to live beyond the cocoon and sustainably sourced Viscose as a vegan alternative to silk, satin and crěpe. Featuring key design notes from the atelier, the Made-to-order styles use traditional tailoring techniques, combined with historical and experimental pattern cutting.
