Pentonbridge Inn is a five star, award-winning restaurant with rooms that offers nine beautifully appointed bedrooms both in the original building and in the connected converted barn and views over the stunning Cumbrian countryside, which all take their name from a Border Reivers clan infamous for raiding and marauding their neighbours.
Head Chef Chris Archer brings with him a wealth of experience and knowledge having cooked professionally, across the UK for the last 15 years. Chris describes himself as a traditional chef, with a flair for presentation who loves old school techniques but still enjoys experimentation with new flavours and techniques. He uses the very best produce foraged, grown, fished, farmed and caught from the land and sea around Pentonbridge Inn. They produce the majority of the fruit, vegetables and herbs less than five miles away in their Victorian walled kitchen garden at Netherby Hall.
The restaurant menu is refined but relaxed, the wine list is sophisticated but friendly. From the same kitchen they serve a familiar menu of pub favourites. No compromise is made with the ingredients here either, just comfort food made to delight.
