Sonal Thakrar is Head of Residential Property at Mishcon de Reya. Having recently won the 2019 Residential Property Lawyer of the Year award at the Chambers High Net Worth Awards, she is described as a ‘dynamite conveyancer and hugely energetic’. Her expertise resides in purchasing or disposing of prime or super-prime residential property in Central London.

Throughout her career, Sonal has built a dynamic and diverse client base ranging from overseas investors, ultra high net worth individuals and their companies, trading companies and banks. She is able to adapt to cultural or time-based needs that a client may have in the course of a transaction. She has completed some high profile deals of over £20 million in prime central London in this year's difficult market conditions.

Peers describe her as ‘very dynamic, very high-tempo and very client-focused’ as well as ‘commercial and pragmatic’. Sonal leads a team which, through their breadth of knowledge, understanding of their clients’ unique situations and their success in building close working relationships with all parties involved in transactions, has grown to become one of the largest dedicated residential property practices in London.

In her spare time, Sonal is either teaching or practising yoga.
