David Forbes is acknowledged to be a world-class expert at the top end of the residential market. He has been responsible for the sale of many of London’s most expensive houses in exclusive postcodes such as Chelsea, Belgravia and Knightsbridge to name a few, and has built up a vast personal network of clients providing invaluable advice to all.

Recognising the need for a specialist department within Savills to provide the type of discreet and confidential service his client base has come to expect, but across a wider spectrum, David drew on his matchless experience to set up and launch The Private Office – a single point of call for clients looking for cross-border and multi-discipline expertise combined with an exceptional level of service. David advises Ultra High Net Worth clients and family offices on their global investments into residential and associated asset classes. David has been working with some families for nearly 40 years and across multiple generations.

Prior to his work in property, David served as an officer in the Brigade of Gurkhas and then set up a trekking company in the Himalayas, which he ran successfully for 10 years, with clients from as far afield as the USA to the Far East before returning to the UK in 1980. David is married, with two daughters, and lives in central London.
